“A fantastic escape”

What a fantastic escape Glenhurich is. The kids had a whale of a time biking up the lochside, exploring the Glen & fishing in the local rivers.

Ardnamurchan must to one of the last remaining unspoilt parts of the country & Glenhurich is right in the heart of it. Made it to the top of Ben Resipole the house & the views of the Hebrides, Muck, Eigg & Rhum & even the Cullins in Skye must be the best I have ever seen.

Can’t wait to get back.

“We’ll be back, rain or shine”

We stayed at Glenhurich lodge for a week. Suffice to say the glens and lochs are spectacular. Excellent mountain biking down the forestry tracks and so many unexplored places and lochans up in the hills.

But unlike many holiday houses, Glenhurich is set up for the inevitable lousy weather. Games, big fire, table tennis, wifi ! Outbuildings for the kids. No one was bored.

But even better, the lodge is beautifully furnished and the beds and linen are 5 star hotel quality.

We have stayed in luxury holiday houses all over the world, amd Glenhurich take some beating. We’ll be back rain or shine. Keep it up.

“Traditional lodge with a modern interior”

Dear Alastair,

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my time at Glenhurich Lodge. The house was a perfect mix of traditional lodge with a modern interior and the Raeburn made it lovely and cosy.

It only took a couple of hours to get there from Glasgow, but the lodge felt so remote and wild. The dog loved the huge garden too! Being able to walk through beautiful countryside straight from the front door was a real pleasure and the peace and solitude were a tonic.

Thanks again for making the whole booking process so easy. I cant wait to go back!

“Get away from it all”

Definitely the place to go if you want to get away from it all. What was the old schoolhouse has been tastefully converted, the spacious kitchen provides ample space if catering for a large group and the living room with fire and sofas was perfect for relaxing away an afternoon.

The surrounding scenery is stunning. A short walk from the cottage takes you to a viewpoint with breathtaking views over Loch Shiel. We also did a longer walk up the Glen towards Strontian with dramatic views to Ben Resipole. I’d also recommend bringing a bike- we didn’t have time but there were lots of forest tracks which looked great for exploring.

“Amazing Scottish wilderness”

Thank you for such a wonderful space in an amazing Scottish wilderness. We loved the open fire – especially after a day out on the beautiful hills and Loch – so fabulous. They are just on the doorstep.

We had a glorious time in this treasure of the Highlands, we will definitely be back.

“A fantastic Christmas break”

We had a fantastic Christmas break at Glen Hurich. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning to the vista of snow topped hills, the nearby Loch Doilean & the stunning Loch Shiel: made even more spectacular when spotting the red deer stags on the hillside. It was great to be off the beaten track, relax & explore the local area. As well as being an ideal place to walk & cycle it was also easy to get to the beautiful west coast. Castle Tioram & the surrounding area was spectacular & the world famous Glenfinnan Viaduct is also nearby. Then at the end of the day it was great to get back to Glen Hurich, have a hot shower & relax in front of a log fire. It was an ideal place to be with our extended family. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay there & I am sure we will be back.
