Upon acceptance via payment of your deposit, these terms form a contract between us, Glenhurich Lodge, and you, as the representative of all guests who are included in the booking. These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

 

Deposits and Cancellations

Payment Schedule

• Deposit: 30% due upon booking

• Final payment: Due 6 weeks prior to your stay

• Late bookings: If booking within 4 weeks of your stay, full payment is required upfront

If the final balance is not received by the 6-week deadline, your booking will be automatically cancelled and you'll forfeit all payments (except the housekeeping deposit).

Good Housekeeping Deposit

​

We require a £300 refundable deposit with every booking. You'll get this back in full when you leave the property in good condition.

 

What we expect:

​

• House left clean and tidy

• Rubbish and recycling removed

• Keys returned to the key safe

• Check out on time (10am)

 

Accidents happen - just let us know about any breakages before you leave. We'll only deduct costs for damage beyond normal wear and tear. However, we'll keep the full deposit if you break other booking terms (like bringing extra guests or unreported pets).

 

Cancellation Policy

• More than 6 weeks before: Full refund minus £100 admin fee

• 6 weeks or less: No refund - full balance still due

 

If we cancel - you'll receive a full refund with no additional compensation. In extreme circumstances beyond anyone's control (natural disasters, etc.), all money will be returned where possible.

 

Guests and Usage

The Lodge can accommodate up to 11 guests. If you bring additional people without our permission, we'll need to ask you to leave and won't be able to offer a refund. Please provide us with the names of everyone in your group when you book. If your guest list changes before arrival, let us know so we can update our records.

 

The Lodge is reserved for the guests you've registered with us - subletting or allowing others to stay in your place will be viewed as a breach of contract and you will be asked to leave without recourse to a refund.

 

The Lodge is to be used for private accommodation only, and not for parties, large gatherings, or business activities. If you'd like to host an event or use the space commercially, please reach out before booking and we'll be happy to discuss your plans.

If these guidelines aren't followed, you will be asked to leave without a refund.

 

Dogs

Guests are welcome to bring up to two well behaved dogs There is a charge of £50.00 per stay per dog. The following is advice and information for dog owners.

• We strongly advise you to protect your dog from ticks. Please consult your vet and treat your dog one week before arrival.

• Dogs are to be kept out of bedrooms and off of the furniture - seats and beds.

• Please do not leave your dog unaccompanied in the cottage.

• Please ensure the garden is left free of dog waste for the benefit of our future guests.

 

If the property requires additional cleaning due to excessive dog hair or if dogs have been in the bedrooms, or on a sofa, we will charge a £50 fee to cover the extra cleaning costs

 

Peace and Quiet

As we are located in a secluded quiet glen near a small hamlet, guests are asked to remain conscientious with regard to noise levels so as not to disturb our neighbours. In particular, the ping pong room has thin walls and at night loud noise can travel. We ask that you honour our noise curfew from 10pm to 7am.

 

Fire Safety

Glenhurich Lodge is in an area at risk of wild fires. Fires are strictly limited to the wood-burning stove and BBQ. You may only burn wood explicitly provided by us. Do not leave any fire unattended. Any failure to comply with these terms will mean you will be asked to leave the property immediately, with no recourse to refunds or compensation.

 

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the properties. If there is evidence of smoking inside the house or if cigar / cigarette ends are left outside a £300 fine will be applicable.

 

E-Vehicles

It is forbidden to charge E-vehicles at the lodge. The closest charging station is in Strontian, behind Strontian Stores.

 

Check in and check out

Arrival is after 4.00pm. We operate on a self-check in basis and access instructions will be sent at least a week prior to arrival. Check-out is by 10am. This allows us to prepare the house between guests. We ask all guests to leave the house in a clean and tidy condition, and to follow instructions for the end of their stay provided. Any failure to meet these conditions will require us to consider retaining the Good Housekeeping Deposit.

 

Liability

The owners accept no liability for any death, personal injury, loss or damage of guests’ personal property while staying at Glenhurich Lodge. The use of the property and contents is entirely at guests' risk.

 

We accept no liability for any death, personal injury, loss or damage of guests' personal property while you undertake any activity during your stay, on or off our property and whether or not the activity is recommended in our materials.

 

Right to entry

In the event of emergency repairs being required, we reserve the right to enter the house at a reasonable time, or for non-emergency matters, at a time arranged with you.
