Glenhurich’s myriad water features give guests ample opportunity to enjoy everything from angling and kayaking to wild swimming and SUPing. The picturesque Loch Doilet is an angler’s favourite, while the winding River Polloch appeals to kayakers and paddle boarders alike. Something for Everyone

Whether you prefer a gentle stroll along Loch Doilet or tackling Ben Resipole—the highest peak on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula—there's an adventure for every ability. Cycling options are equally varied, from family-friendly outings to challenging routes for dedicated cyclists. For those seeking history with their hiking, the Resourie Bothy awaits deep within Glenhurich Forest. This shelter stands where Bonnie Prince Charlie once hid out while evading government forces.

“A great place for a family holiday, we swam, we walked, we climbed, we paddle boarded, we kayaked and we spent time in the lovely house.”

FLORA & FAUNA

One of the few remaining ‘Celtic Rainforests’

Glenhurich is one of the few remaining temperate, or ‘Celtic’, rainforests that once covered vast areas of Ireland and Britain. Due to its remoteness, this ancient landscape has remained largely intact and can still be enjoyed by visitors to Glenhurich today. Seasons bring both dramatic and subtle changes to the landscape, making it a wonderful destination no matter the time of year

INSPIRATION

Dark skies and dramatic landscape

Glenhurich’s unique landscape is the source of many of our family and friends’ artistic endeavours, where the ever changing light provides endless inspiration. Dark skies make star-gazing as easy as walking outside.
